The Ireland Real Estate Investment Pavilion will serve as a central point of engagement for potential investors and global stakeholders interested in investing in Europe, specifically in Ireland. It will include representation by many major institutional investors already investing in Ireland.

This panel will explore why pan-European investors find Ireland an attractive investment proposition.
Topics to be covered include:

Is Ireland a supportive jurisdiction for international capital to invest in the residential sector?

Investment Director at the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF)
Brendan Byron is an Investment Director for the ISIF Real Assets team responsible for the origination, execution, and monitoring of direct and indirect investments under ISIF’s Housing and Enabling Investment strategy. This includes investments and initiatives across commercial and residential real estate, large scale urban regeneration projects and infrastructure.

Deputy Head of Global Real Estate
M&GMartin Towns is the Deputy Global Head of Real Estate at M&G Real Estate, overseeing the strategic direction and growth of the firm's £40 billion property portfolio. He joined M&G in 2010, bringing over 20 years of experience in real estate fund management. Recently, Martin played a pivotal role in M&G's acquisition of a 65% stake in BauMont Real Estate Capital, aiming to enhance the firm's value add investment capabilities. Martin holds a BLE (Hons) in Land Economy from the University of Aberdeen and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

CBRE Investment Management is a leading global real assets investment management firm with $148.3 billion in assets under management as of September 2024. Sander holds a master's in Spatial Science and is a CFA charterholder.

Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF)Sarah Hickey is Head of Real Assets at the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), a sovereign development fund with €19 billion in assets under management as of December 2023. In this role, she is responsible for the implementation of ISIF’s strategy across commercial and residential real estate, large scale urban regeneration projects and infrastructure, with a focus on driving sustainable investments that support economic activity and employment in Ireland. Sarah has extensive experience in investment management and has been instrumental in advancing ISIF's strategic objectives. She holds a degree in engineering and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Co-Head of Global Real Estate
AXAJohn O’Driscoll is the Global Co-Head of Real Estate at AXA IM Alts, overseeing the sourcing, selection, and execution of transactions worldwide. He chairs the Strategic Investment Committee and is a member of the Management Board. Prior to joining AXA IM in 2018, John was CEO of Corporate Finance and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for EMEA at JLL. He also held senior roles at Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan. With over 22 years in international real estate investment banking and advisory, John holds a degree in Commerce from University College Cork and a Master's in Finance from University College Dublin.

GICIain Cahoon is Managing Director at GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, where he manages a significant portfolio of real estate investments. He joined GIC in 2017 after serving as Managing Director and Co-Head of EMEA Real Estate at UBS. Iain is also a board member of several companies, including citizenM, a global hotel group. Iain holds a degree in Real Estate from the University of Reading.

Previously, she was Deputy Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Planning at NAMA, contributing to the execution of the Dublin Docklands and Residential Business Plans. Deirdre holds a BSc in Regional Development, a Master’s in Regional and Urban Planning, an MSc in Real Estate, and a Diploma in Company Direction. She is a Corporate Member of the Irish Planning Institute, a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, and a Member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland.

Prior to this role, he served as Chief Executive of the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) from 2015 to 2021. He joined the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) in 2006, contributing to the management of the National Pensions Reserve Fund. Nick holds a degree in Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder..

The events hosted at the Ireland Real Estate Investment Pavilion will provide a great opportunity to meet current and potential investors interested in allocation capital to Ireland. The events will be attended by over 300 real estate investors, looking to deploy capital in interesting sectors and strategies. The breakfast and lunch events will provide valuable insights into Ireland’s real estate investment opportunity while also allowing attendees to catch-up with peers and new make connections with some of the most senior real estate investors in Europe.
